We want to share with you a very special place to explore and fish-

The Deschutes River of Oregon

On its way north from headwaters in the Oregon Cascades, the mighty “Riviere des Chutes” carves a majestic desert canyon on its way through the Columbia Plateau.
This is us.
Rainbow Bend Flyfishing specializes in the 42 mile stretch of the Deschutes from Warm Springs to Maupin, OR. This is the section of the Deschutes we call home. This big flowing section is nationally designated wild and scenic and is world famous for its native redband trout and annual steelhead run. It is also a remarkable ecosystem with a year to year consistent salmonfly, caddis and mayfly hatch.
On our guided trips we'll see big horn sheep grazing the canyon with wild horses, osprey making their catch right in front of you, great blue heron gobbling down a snack and mink & otter swimming along the shorelines. All this while golden and bald eagles keep a watchful eye on us from overhead.
This is “post-graduate” fly fishing and the American outdoors at its best. The hunt for redband trout and steelhead is just a part of the experience in this special part of the world. For aficionados who want to share their enchantment of the river, a Rainbow Bend guided trip can provide a special bonding experience for friends, dad's & mom's , sons/daughters, and couples who want to share what they love with those they love.
